Co-pilot glided crippled jet to safety

Co-pilot glided crippled jet to safety: "The captain, Peter Burkill, praised his senior first officer, John Coward, as the real hero of the hour for taking the controls and doing a 'most remarkable job'."

So John Coward is the man with the iron will, the nerves of steel and the capacity to bring a big jet into Heathrow and save hundreds of people and the surrounding environment. What a man. These pilots are a rare breed. No doubt the pair of them had to think fast and quickly, but if John Coward was at the controls then he is remarkable, truly remarkable and everyone on the plane and on the ground deserves full credit for smoothly managing damage control in the extreme. What I want to know is if told Peter Burkill to shut up so he could concentrate! We have some great human beings on this planet.
