Woolies to donate profits to drought

Woolies to donate profits to drought: "On 'Drought Action Day 2008', all profits from 765 Woolworths and Safeway supermarkets will be donated to the Country Women's Association (CWA), which will distribute the money to those in need."

Drought Action day is February 15th, and easy day to remember because it's the day after Valentine's Day. Last year Woolworths raised nearly 5 million dollars to give to the CWA to distribute to those affected by the drought. it would be good if it could be a national drought action day with Woolworths leading the show , in much the same way as McDonalds has its day for raising money for its houses for sick children. We need to get us all involved . Shopping at Woolworths on one day so they can donate profits to the drought affected Australians is a good start. What else can we do? Ditto , flooded areas. We need a national way of mobilising us so we can help those who need our help.
