South Australia to stay GM-free : "Mr Rann said the Government was yet to be convinced that allowing GM crops would have a positive impact on marketing the state's food and wine to important export destinations around the world."
GM crops are a way of getting hold of the world food markets and they are crops which will support chemical companies.Funny that we have seen bees disappear. How convenient. It is important to stick to the facts and there are no facts which have come out which suggest they are good for us, will help farmers and are biologically sound. They will, however, be able to be more easily manipulated by global companies, can be made sterile and herbicide dependant. No one will be able to grow their own crops from collected seed. The efforts overseas appear to have had poor success and a lot of the GM corn has been dumped on our market because it is inferior. Get the facts and experiences from overseas. GM crops have a big impact on the environment and I haven't seen any country praise them yet. In the end , standing our ground may only be a matter of honour because of market manipulation, but it is better to try because we need proper crops which produce proper food. We don't want GM food.
