Care death doctors face review

Care death doctors face review: "DOCTORS acted 'improperly' and 'undesirably' by cremating a woman before reporting her death, a court has ruled."

I heard this story on the way home today and I was really disturbed by it, especiallybecause we have recently had a death in our family and no doctor has the right to order a cremation before the death is reported. No doctor. No one. It is something which the family needs to do and set the time for. It is outrageous. I was choked up because it hit home so hard of what that might have meant to me if that lady belonged to me. It's not clear from the story, nor the news item whether the family was actually included in this bizarre behaviour and allowed to have a proper funeral. The husband appears to have signed one death certificates and then there appears to have been another and the lady appears to have died in a very odd fashion without her loved ones there. The news programme was discussing things which might help the protocol in nursing homes. A bit of compassion, consideration and common sense wouldn't go astray. It is abominable. I haven't got enough bad words for this whole sorry affair if this is what really occurred and I feel really upset for the family. You see, it is a moment which cannot be dignified through them now so it's another way our current sloppy society has degraded privacy and personal matters. The whole world just romps over people these days and that is just horrible. We need to respect personal moments and private matters. Quite frankly it needs to be investigated further and I think doctors themselves should offer their considered opinions and suggestions. It is bringing shame on a lot of decent professionals.
