Bracks winds down the pace

Bracks winds down the pace : "The outgoing premier said today that he had enjoyed a good night's sleep after making his momentous decision and was now looking forward to a less frantic lifestyle."

No matter what he does now, Steve Bracks will be an asset to the community, any organisation or business he joins and to Australia. 8 years in the top job has had its costs but he has been very successful and Victoria is a stronger state because he was at the helm. It's really unfortunate that the climate is not such that Steve Bracks and people like him can stay in their positions. He is not alone in his decision. More and more competent Australians are just leaving their jobs, just like that, because the system is neither sustaining nor rewarding them. It's all too hard and that is how much we have changed.
