9 firefighters die in blaze at furniture warehouse: "'But what we know is that nine brave, heroic, courageous firefighters of the city of Charleston have perished fighting fire in a most courageous and fearless manner,' he told a news conference with the ruins of the warehouse-store smouldering behind him."
I hate stories like this. Firefighters the world over are doing their darnedest to save life and limb. For all our capacity to develop international space stations, shuttles, nuclear weapons, A380 planes we still cannot come up with an outfit which will preserve the lives of firefighters. They are so courageous. They constantly put their lives on the line. We need an outfit they can wear so they can continue to be our heroes and have a life.
