Garden gnomes hid smuggled snakes: "The snakes, destined for two addresses in Sydney, were found when the parcels were opened by customs officials."
Snakes and lizards? Smuggling them in?? We have heaps. Plenty. Lots. We don't need any more. Many of our snakes are venomous. Smuggling wildlife is cruel. A lot do not survive the trip. A lot find themselves in climates and conditions they cannot tolerate and a lot find themselves mistreated by people who do not know how to look after them. I am impressed our customs officials found them. We do not need snakes and lizards. Can't believe it!! Doesn't say what sort of snakes and lizards.
