$25 million climate prize

Wired: "'The Earth cannot wait 60 years. We need everybody capable of discovering an answer to put their minds to it today,' Branson said."

Richard Branson is certainly prepared to put his money where his mouth is and I cannot think of a better use for money than to work on our climate predicament. Together with Al Gore he is offering hope and incentive to us all. He has become a leader. He has vision for the future but he is channelling his efforts and energies into trying to solve some of the real issues we are confronting as a human race. That is a real leader. The money will work for us. It will work for him because he is reshaping our world in a psosive way instead of contributing to misery and pain. Al Gore has been trying to get people to sit up and listen in the best way he knows and has also committed himself to a life of trying to right the wrongs and reshape negative into positive. To criticise is silly. Yes, we have planes and no we are not going to abandon them...but we can reshape them. Maybe the critics would like to come up with some real incentives to shift this mess we have made for ourselves. It's about inspiring people to think differently to to feel like we can be part of the solution. We can neither sit and do nothing nor be accepting of something we can change.
