Strauss hit by Lee's bouncer

Strauss hit by Lee's bouncer : "Strauss slumped to the ground after turning his back on a Lee bouncer and copping it in the back of his head under the helmet, and the Australians immediately raced to his aid."

When Strauss can take one of Lee's serves like that and still bat on, this is no weak team. I hope he is okay. The cricket has been electric and we just cannot keep our eyes off it. In the cafe this morning everyone was sipping their coffee and getting their heart started with the big screen cricket and at the station on the way home the seats were pretty packed in front of our big station TV and everyone who came up wanted to know the score. Adelaide sat and waited for the day to start with the cricket and Adelaide sat at the station in pleasant company watching every move. The Strauss episode was heart stopping. We have seen our own players injured in a crucial part of the match and we know how that feels. At that moment there was so much empathy for Strauss and so much admiration for him getting up and carrying on. There was talk of Warne going to coach England? Would he? It would make for some interesting face offs in the future!! The thing is , no one has to be that interested in the cricket. We have won the Ashes. So it's the magic of the match and the greatness of the game which is holding us all in thrall.
