Solar power 'part of nuclear debate' :
"'Millions of hectares of rooftops exist in Australian suburbs and industrial estates that should be productive fields of efficient and non-polluting energy,' Archicentre managing director Robert Caulfield said."
Given our size, our climate and our lifestyle I think working with the environment is very much something we can achieve provided we are told how to do it - that there is a plan. We do have a good track record of environmentally helpful practices which we integrate easily once we all have the hang of it. Renewable energy is something we can consider because we have the space and the living conditions to produce renewable energy. We have to cost it, look at its sustainablility and consider it alongside other proposals. If nothing else we need to look at the benefits and cost to us of any form of energy production. How much would it cost to do it but also how much would it cost us as a nation not to do it?
