ACT brings out Budget axe :
"Jobs will also be lost in education administration as the Government prepares to shut down 39 pre-schools, primary schools and high schools."
Education cuts do not heal. It has been said before and needs to be repeated over and over. We need to educate our children and we need leaders who value education. Cuts just damage the system and create an environment where education is seen as a burden. It's the opposite. We need people who know, who have learnt and who have a capacity to know more. We need skills and thinking. Why would you cut education?
