Flowers sales boom for Mothers' Day :
"Roses Only reported record sales - with roses the number one choice for those wanting to spoil a mother or grandmother."
I had and am having a lovely Mother's Day. Nothing over the top, nothing material as such, but so nice. We went out to lunch and the meal was delicious. I had grilled chicken with camembert and mango glaze....YUM, followed by pavlova...how could I resist? A good glass of wine and a delicious cup of coffee to finish it all. Great lunch. The atmosphere was good and the open fire welcome on our cold Mother's Day in Adelaide. Everyone was happy and it was just so pleasant ....and yes, there were beautiful bouquets of flowers. The hotel had chosen some very impressive pink hippeastrums, but Mums had big bunches of pink chrysanthemums, pink daisies and one lady had a stunningly colourful display of gerberas. We had mums, dads, sons and daughters, grandmas, grandads, babies, pregnat ladies...and it was just a great meal and a lovely atmosphere. Yes, the floral displays were very special this year but it wasn't to do with ostentation. It was about nice gestures on the part of the family members.
