Eyes a window to likelihood of stroke.

Eyes a window to likelihood of stroke. :

"The study found that people aged over 50 with tiny lesions on the back of the retina were two to three times more likely to have a stroke."

Sometimes you can take all the information we glean and discover too seriously. You can make yourself worried over nothing. We are, however , thinking laterally and coming up with indicators which might help the diagnosis of more serious conditions. Sydney University has been doing studies into these tiny lesions and the more they research, the better. Once doctors have something totreat and they have indicators of a disease they can help prevent it and relieve the conditon. The trouble with strokes is the conditon often goes undetected until the serious stake and it is something we do need to pick up earlier. That they have connected it to an eye condition means we can develop screening tests once they have a clearer picture.
