Lights out after SA storms :
"Power was cut to more than 1400 homes during last night's storms and lightning strikes, said ETSA Utilities spokesman Craig Clarke."
I know...every time I thought the storm had passed there was another giant flash of lightning and a boom, crackle rumble over the hills. It was going west to east and backwards and forwards! So the land of the giant cabbages, the humungous cauliflowers and the ginormous geraniums is WET!! Until now we had been used to the dry, drab crunchy brown of Adelaide which had softened in recent years to a kinder, greener look. The hills are alive with green blobs on the écru background...so Adelaide. The blobs are evergreen trees which for reasons best known to themselves only grow singly on the hills' faces. So, phew...it was very Vanuatu here yesterday, which didn't bother me a bit but most people found it uncomfortable. I do hot and humid well..it's this cold and damp I'm not good at!!
