The Ashes again

English hordes invade Ponting's dream team:

"Ask him how many Australians he would now like in his team, following England's historic 2-1 Ashes success, and Ponting would probably resort to one of his stock evasions. 'We are just concentrating on our own game' has become a dog-eared favourite."

We are concentrating on our own game. That's not an evasive response it's what Australians are always doing...concentrating on their performance and once one thing is over , that's history, can't be changed and can be learnt from and we move on to the next thing. Listen to the teams preparing for this week. Okay, the preparation is all terribly secret...but last week is history and this big Crows - Eagles match will be another game of football where anyone can come out the winner. It's not stuck in cement here. The press needs to be very careul because it's starting to sledge our team big time and the negative headlines are unwarranted. Those guys played a fantastic set of tests as did the English. It was great cricket. If there are changes to be made....

they
will
be
made......

in the fullness of time.

Stop running great people down. We can't all be as perfect as the press. It is not a catastrophe we didn't get the Ashes. We never get the Ashes ...but we have won them for the last 16 years.
