Well, there are people who haven't considered that there is more to life than goods and acquisition so if they are pawning Porsches and plasmas then it is a good sign. Some people have been caught up in the flurry of affluenza and have focussed on worldly goods at the expense of relationships, health and wellbeing. Things can be shown off but they cannot show affection. Some people would have pushed themselves into a lifestyle they couldn't really afford and so lightening up and offloading some of that burden might actually make them feel happier.
