"Ninety-four per cent of the nearly 800,000 Facebook users who have voted in a poll on the site said they do not like the changes rolled out in the past two weeks."
I am surprised people do not like the new design because the complaints about the other new look Facebook which is now the old look Facebook was it was very sloppy in its design approach and layout. The only thing I don't like in the new , new look are the new notifications at the top of the page instead of the side. I am a digital immigrant so I still forget to scan the whole screen. I tend to look in the middle, right and left....so I don't notice the things at the top. Facebook is a database. They have gone through and tidied it up, got things into neat categories and places and you tend to get more status updates and then there are separate categories for photos and videos so that the news section is less cluttered. The layout has been tidied up. Now they seem to have subdivided the profile page and started to group that. I want my profile page to be chronological in my activities and not grouped. It is the reason I still blog. I actually want a part of cyberspace which I drive and set up within the limitations of the app I am using. It would be quite nice to blog and Facebook in the same spot in lots of ways. Just set up your home on line...but people tend to want one area for one thing and another area for another and in that sense I am no different, I guess. On the whole I like the new, new Facebook and see no reason to complain. People do not like change and they are tiring of change because things are changing every five minutes and everyone is fed up with that kind of life. Sooner or later people will dig their heals in and refuse to budge and create the inertia which will bring about a routine, regulated, predictable existence...and they won't like that either!
