AdelaideNow... SA students below average
SOUTH Australia has scored below the national average in three-quarters of the categories in the first national comparison of student literacy and numeracy skills.

We have done well then. We don't focus on languages and linguistic skills , we have allowed students to bail out of maths and science...dumbing down works. In spite of scoring below the national average in three quarters of the categories 90% of SA students met the minimum national standard. We have an SA disadvantage whether you are public or private. I gather all students sat for these tests? Getting students into school would be a great start. You see kids out with their parents all the time. Surely they are not all home schooled? Do home schooled children do these tests as well and what percentage of our students are home schooled?
