Ban Aboriginal dole until 21, Noel Pearson pleads : "'Young people should be presented with two options: you either earn or learn. (Welfare payments) should not be an option for people under 21.'"

Wouldn't be such a bad option to consider for all our kids. Maybe we need to look at it because young kids should be in the learning phase of their life and they need to learn some responsibility too. If they do not want to be at school then they need to have a job or training to go to. It doesn't matter what the job is. Everything will teach them something. We may have a shortage of jobs which would suit them though, so before we go down that path we need to know there are viable options to school if they don't want to be there. Let's face it...not everyone is good at sitting on their bottom. Some would be happy just to do until they find their way. I think we need to seriously look at virtual and online learning communities too.
