Climate change could devastate Aust fauna

Climate change could devastate Aust fauna: "The report's author, Lesley Hughes, says many native species are vulnerable to climate change because they live in small habitats and will not easily be able to move if conditions become unsuitable."

We neither respect nor value our wild life. We do not realise if we do not care and take action then everything will turn into pigeons as it has overseas. Our unique and beautiful creatures can be mercilessly threatened by us. To add climate change problems to it means they are living a harassed existence and truly, we need to wake up to ourselves. people want them gone because they make noise or a mess. We excavate and destroy their land to build houses. We make their habitat smaller. We never plan for them and then we do things like kill and cull because they are in the way of our urban sprawl. Would be interesting if they killed and culled us because we make too much noise and get in their way. I left for work this morning and was totally taken aback to see a kangaroo hopping along the street. I live in the suburbs but not far form the scrub. The wild life has been coming in here because it has been hot and dry and their food and water has dried up....and we keep clearing land for yet more housing estates. We need to have a plan we and we need to include our native species in that plan. It's horrible that we don't.
