Drug use rife in Australian workforce: "'There should not be open slather testing of employees or whenever they feel like it,' Mr Fary said."
We have to work alongside them and we have to rely on them or work instead of them. For many of us drugs in the workplace wouldn't be an issue, but it does appear to be a serious issue in some jobs. So let's get this out in the open. If they brought in random drug testing, would I be worried? No. Would I be offended? No. I have nothing to lose and I have so much to gain because I am sick and tired of the way drugs have brought us all down and how they are just impacting on everything. The way i look at it , is we have to be vigilant and thorough is getting rid of them where we don't want them...and to make them go back where they belong. Not here. Not with us. Not in our community. They cost too much. They damage too many people and they are doing us harm. Open slather is a bit of an emotive way of putting it but I guess I have had a gutful of the open slather on drugs ( and mobile phones in public but that's another story!). That's my tuppence worth...what about yours? Let's get this one nailed.
