Wire-trap 'could have killed girl'

Wire-trap 'could have killed girl' : "'You could have killed someone, not just hurt my daughter. You could have killed anyone,'' Mr Rose said."

Indeed. Poor wee thing. I can remember whacking into a chain which was strapped across a play park when I was playing with children. I was running and went straight into the chain and really, really hurt my nose and was knocked flat on my back and walloped my head. It might have been my neck. I was just so upset and it damn well hurt...and did quite a bit of damage. But I was a fully grown woman. I could come to terms with it...and I haven't played with kids in a park since!!! That poor wee thing got piano wire across her neck. Had she been bigger and stronger it would have been horrendous. She will be in shock and she needs to be nurtured through this so she doesn't lose her confidence and belief in the community. Obviously the motor cyclists have been driving people crazy and that aspect of the whole sorry story needs to be dealt with more seriously because someone was driven to the piano wire solutions and it was someone with brain under construction stamped on their head. They didn't think of the impact on the whole community. It means citizens feel as though they are powerless and so they are trying to solve problems themselves. Motor cyclists are obviously causing concern and may well do damage of their own. This is a serious situation which needs to be resolved and those who can resolve it need to get involved.
