Adelaide's in the dark

We all woke up this morning to very dark and wet. Not something which is usual in Adelaide. We do light very well , even in winter. So we were all a bit surprised to be putting on lights and fires so early after such a glorious autumn day yesterday where we got out and about and some good gardening done. Adelaide is at least green. We are still repairing drought damage, but we have had some beautiful days...and now we are into European winter ...dark , dark , dark. What's all that about. It means we have had a beautifully cosy Sunday with fine food and good books and DVDs. It means we have gasbagged on teh phone...but everyone has commented on the darkness of today. Wet and dark?! Maybe we are no longer getting the glare off the South Pole!
