Nice thought

Port River dolphin sanctuary a 'world leader'. :

"'In terms of being an extremely urbanised group of dolphins, living so close to a city permanently, and the actual nature of the sanctuary, I think it can be a leader in world terms,' he said.

'I'm hoping that over the years as it develops that more and more people from other countries will come here to see how we've done it.'"

Nice thought. We love our dolphins and we see them often off the coast. To have a sanctuary on the Port River is a great idea. People like to see dolphins. People like to be with nature. When you are standing in the middle of a rainforest or when you are in the mountains or on the ocean you know it's doing you good. The stress dissipates. When we live in the suburbs nature can annoy us because of the "mess". I have rosellas in the big gum tree at the moment and I am having to clean up the decking on a regular basis. Do I mind? No. I missed the rosellas when they stopped coming in. It's great to hear them squawking and chattering in the tree and they are so beautiful. The dolphin sanctuary is a good way of bringing nature and people together for the benefit of both. The world looks and smells a whole lot better with nature around it. Go into the city. All you smell are car and bus fumes and Rundle Mall and Hindley Street, which were 2 of our best streets, have become an absolute pain. People can be very destructive. Diverted by nature they seem to be less so.
