Parents warned over phone porn

AdelaideNow... Parents warned over phone porn: "'If they cannot do so willingly, then perhaps they need to delete offending items as, if they are in possession of pornography or have passed material on to others, they put themselves at risk of having committed a criminal offence.'"

We've got anti porn laws, but as if the kids are going to give a damn. Technology makes it very easy to bypass morals and laws. Invent your own values and see what happens. Schools are not responsible for mobile phone content nor laptop content. Students are. Parents are the first line of education and legal and non legal issues ought to be on the family table for discussion, but who eats together these days and who actually sees their parents? families are quite fragmented and technology is opportunistic. If it can be done, then they do it and laws are no longer relevant. We have quite a problem on our hands here but the buck stops with the kids. They are old enough to know the law. We need to decide whether we want laws or not and whether we want porn or not and then act.
