I have too much power: Immigration Minister

I have too much power: Immigration Minister: "'I have formed the view that I have too much power, in terms of the power given to the minister to make decisions about individual cases,' he said."

Immigration matters affect a lot of people, not the least of whom are the mentally ill with foreign accents and backgrounds. I think it's important that more than one person makes decisions about immigration matters because the needs of immigrants, illegal or otherwise, do change and so different parties need to be involved. It's of paramount importance that the people are correctly and properly identified and that if any deportation is to occur there has been consultation. A fantastic move.
