Indian tour on hold

Indian tour on hold : "In halting the tour, the all-powerful Indian board — which accounts for about 70% of the game's global revenue — has issued a direct challenge to the authority of the International Cricket Council and the integrity of Australia's players."

Is that what this is about? Money , power, position bargaining? Calling the shots? At the moment the sport is being undermined, particular players are being targeted and it's a great game of uproar. It simply isn't cricket. The stories which have come out from long time cricket fans and legends attest to the fact the players have managed all sorts of incidents and controversies. Some of them really horrific.Weathered all sorts of conditions. The players have absorbed the adversity and gloried in the successes. In other sports if teams choose not to participate , it's a forfeit. If competitors choose not to be in an event they do not get a place. Cricket is a massive money earner so I don't doubt that money is now becoming more important than the sport. At least with things like cycling, athletics, swimming and rugby, when the going has got tough the regulating bodies have had a good clean out of the negative impacts and are working to restore the sport. It's not cricket which is in crisis. It's values.
