Clinton-Obama race too close to call

Clinton-Obama race too close to call : "With 50 per cent of the vote counted, Hillary Clinton is leading the Democratic race with 39 per cent to Barack Obama's 36 per cent."

This is a tough race...a real test of endurance and courage. Do you remember the Seinfeld episode where George did the opposite and then became so confident and successful? It was hilarious but there was a good message in it. I have never forgotten it and have found it a good way to get myself going when I feel I have lost my creativity and spark. I haven't forgotten the comment I read the other day either where it said the Americans just wanted to be Americans again. Press and media hype aside, you can understand why Mr. Obama, whom you always just want to call Obama, is such a breath of fresh air. He is fluid in his movements, fluent, energetic and full of hope. He represents, to me, the opposite of what you get coming from the top of America. He doesn't bludgeon, he doesn't threaten, he doesn't come out with platitudes and rehearsed responses. He represents a dream that America can once again breathe fresh air and fresh ideas and what he lacks in experience he makes up for in enthusiasm and I think that must be the thing which Americans are craving because they have been held back for so long. It's like here. The day after the election, we woke up to fresh air with oxygen in it and it felt sooo good. So maybe he is what Americans need right now and only they will know whether he can come up with the goods or not. For Hillary Clinton, whom you'd rate as a dead cert, this has been unfortunate. She is an articulate, well credentialled, experienced woman of substance who has what it takes to run the country and yet you feel that the Americans , inspite of all their talk of equity and equality, still can't come at having a woman president. She represents who they are and is well suited to that top position so she is someone who could do the job, but the need to change and be different seems to be very strong. I am still of the belief we have seen what men can do at the top, let's give a suitable woman the chance. It means Hillary Clinton is getting a taste of just how hard it would be for her to be a woman president. Men get carried along in glory..women have to constantly watch their backs. From here, it's an astounding race.
