Australia Day pride

AdelaideNow... Australia Day pride: "'I like the food and the hot guys,' she said."

Yep, and the Tour Down Under has only increased those two things. The lycra lads are something else. So fit! A lot of people are glad they are in Australia today and there is a really good feel around the place even though it's one of our typical hot days. I love it because no matter where I drive I have a million dollar view. I have vast oceans , great hills which are a lovely shade of crispy brown at the moment, and I am laughing because the lycra lads have to get up Willunga Hill today and if they do that it is a fantastic cause for celebration. They'll feel awesome and we'll feel awesome too. We get to see people meet some amazing challenges here and we get to hold onto each other when the going gets tough. We laugh, we complain....and we flip and flop. We manage extremes but basically we like to eat and drink. Our sports people are an inspiration, our films are good. We have some fantastic artists and poets and then we have all the tribal influences and then the influences of the cultures which make up Australia. So you always meet someone interesting....and the sunrises and sunsets are just sublime.
