Canadians bemused by DFAT travel warning : "It also lists Canada in its second safest category with places such as Chile, South Korea and Latvia as being safer."
Considering how many Canadians come here , how long they stay and how much they know about us, yes, I dare say they are utterly amused and shaking their heads...and it's a good job that Canadians, on the whole, have a good sense of humour, are realistic, are knowledgeable and are relaxed. There needs to be a global system whereby any information published about a country is automatically sent to the nearest embassy and they verify, vet and discuss it with a country. I have seen some odd things from time to time but pages appear to be updated fairly regularly. I think we should let each other know when it's gone pear shaped.
