Greeks want PM apology

AdelaideNow... Greeks want PM apology: "'The incidents he is referring to were a band of gangsters, like Ned Kelly's, robbing banks. They're all behind bars now. You cannot compare those kinds of incidents with what has happened in Iraq.'"

Do you know what is so heartening about this article and the action of the Greek community? The airhead appraoch is gone. The generalised sweeping statement is no longer acceptable. People want the truth to be heard and the facts to be straight. John Howard is probably no different from the many other people who just reiterate what they hear and the damage that has caused is unbelievable. It has created a warped world where the picture is never straight. We have been pushed into the position where a statement on something is THE statement and then it gets repeated over and over and over irregardless of whether it's the truth. It's good that the Greek community has reacted in such a way that the truth of the matter can come before us and that is the real lesson in all of this.
