Strong grip helps men live longer

Strong grip helps men live longer: study :

"A strong grip, a good education, a wife, and not becoming overweight are among the keys to a long life for middle-aged men who'd like to grow old in good health, a US study said."

The grip is about upper body strength. I guess they won't fall over too soon. Strong bodies help keep you upright for longer. It makes sense but it's astounding how fast people let themselves fall out of condition. How inflexible people let themselves become and how quickly they just let go. Fitness isn't the only factor though and I am certain everyone has at least one long lived family member and could trot out a recipe for old age. My family had this tiny, frail wicked witch of the west who outlived everyone. She was a venomous, vicious auntie who lived to 95 and made everyone's life a misery. She smoked, drank, fooled around, road a motor bike, abandoned her children. Her house was totally spotless and very neat. Her cooking was superb...but she was so mean. She made Mombie look kind. At least studies provide you with trends which you can pick up on. I think mobility is everything.
