News in Science - Polar bears, hippos now threatened - :
"The World Conservation Union, or IUCN, says more than 16,000 species of animals and plants are at risk of disappearing, including one in four mammals and one in eight birds."
We're doing well as a planet, aren't we? The things we were left to appreciate and enjoy have no relevance to us. We couldn't care less whether we leave anything for future generations or not. Self centred, self serving, self absorbed. Australia is one of the countries with a significant number of threatened species. What are we doing about it?
