Will GM crops deliver benefits to farmers

Will GM crops deliver benefits to farmers:

"Biotechnology companies make many impressive claims about genetically engineered crops (and other GM products) which are theoretically attractive to farmers in simplifying their farm management and providing economic benefits. But how accurate are these claims?"

Oddly enough, a number of sites I tried to access to get current information about GM crops timed out and so the information was not available. This site is quite comprehensive and gives various paths to follow. As Greenpeace says it's about the right to choose and once you plant GM crops the cross contamination is unavoidable, so if GM crops prove unrelaiable, unsuitable or not what you want, then , bad luck, you other crops have already been GM'd and set to go.
