$1.40 petrol

The Advertiser: $1.40 petrol shock on way :

"PETROL prices will approach $1.40 a litre this week amid claims oil companies may be exploiting the supply crisis, experts say"

I had to pay $1.24 today on Sunday prices because I couldn't get petrol during the week. It's mad. Who is benefitting from this? I am glad I have an economical car. I can't believe in 2005 we are still using petrol to run cars. With the technology breakthroughs we have had I would have expected something different in the new millennium. Here's hoping.
