School Lunches

Woolworths - A Quick Lesson in School Lunches:

As I said in an earlier post, the supermarkets here have provided magazines and net information to get everyone eating more healthily and not at an exorbitant price. These days there is a wealth of information for us so follow, look up and seek out if we are suffering from the food blues. I've been through the lunch box dilemma and I am grateful for these sites and magazines for a quick solution to the lunch box crisis. We get plenty of quick, healthy meal ideas and the food suppliers have joined with us to try and get a balance back into our diet. We love food in Adelaide now because we have had such a big food fest and focus. The kids here bring their lunches to school and school canteens sell items which are more varied and nutritious so the kids can have a break. Most "tuck shops" have a reasonable packed lunch alternative these days. It was a battle at first to get rid of the chips and high fat , no vegetable food. Even the individual producers of food go out of their way to give us leaflets, information and ideas so we know how to use their products and how they are made. It's been a big collaborative effort and well worth it because we are wining and dining in style these days.
