Silver service

The Advertiser: Meals fit for the Queen [26apr05]:

"'We have the best food and wine in the country but we don't value service as much as we value our food,' he says."

Tony Sautler, butler to the Queen, is using his experience to start Cachet Consulting, a silver service business in Adelaide. It is true, we have wonderful food and wine, but we can lose the edge on the service. Less so at the moment because many young people have worked overseas in fine restaurants and have brought those skills back to Adelaide. They love their OS trips, but they come home with some fantastic memories to marry and have a family . Many of the young ones have had experience in silver service restaurants overseas but then can't find equivalent employment here. If we add that as a layer to our al fresco and eater friendly environments, it can only help to give Adelaide a bit more depth.
