Inner burbs vs Outer burbs

The Advertiser: Living the dream

This is a big survey about the advantages and disadvantages of living in an inner suburb or an outer suburb in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. I have lived in the inner suburbs.. a 15 min ride to town on the bus. I gave it up. Too many cars, too much concrete and too many houses. Wall to wall concrete, bitumen and bricks. I am now an Outer Burb..10 minutes from the beach, 10 minutes from the best wine areas, 10 minutes from the shops. I have access to gyms, cinemas, fine food. Even the airport is a half hour trip. Town is a fantastic train ride along the ocean or a 40 min trip in the car. I don't take the car to town. I don't see the point. The access to transport is good, the city doesn't need the fumes. I have parrots, honey eaters, wattle birds,kookaburras... hills , wide open spaces..but I have the concrete and bricks should too much green grass and oxygen freak me out.
