The good news

The Advertiser: Help on menu for Eyre farms [19feb05]: "'People in Adelaide just don't realise the problems in the country,' she said.

'If you can imagine waking up in the morning and having no home and no job, that's what I'm trying to get home to people. The farmers are so proud, there is no way they will put their hands up for help.'"

We do know what it is like in the country. We live here but like Mrs. Lombe we've lived in the country or we holiday in the country. Adelaide people are very aware of their country areas. What we don't often know is how much the farmers are suffering and the country people are in need of help. Mrs. Lombe is so right in that respect. The country people keep it quiet. They couldn't his time because it was one of the biggest bush fires in our history and it was all over the news and people like Mrs. Lombe are making it possible to for us to co ordinate ourselves. That's what country people need to do. Tell us what they need because Adelaide is excellent at mobilising itself to help others.
