Adelaide Autumn

Today was a glorious autumn day in Adelaide. The weddings in the southern park lands and St. Francis winery could not have had a better day. It was interesting not a drop of water was running in the moat around the winery even though we have had heavy downpours this week. It has been cold and wet and yet the sun today was just lovely. Everyone was out with their dogs, their jogging, their walking, their lolling in the sunshine. People were happy and healthy. A lot fo people were heading to the best foodie strips to eat or purchase some good quality food. We are spoiled for choice at he moment and in town there are some great ideas for salads and warm winter meals. We seem to be swinging between the two. We are quite clear about being healthy too so everything is vitamin and mineral rich and fresh. We are very keen on fresh. Goats' cheese has made a big entrance onto our tables. We are all loving it and using it a lot. We didn't used to like it much but the goats cheese and marinated feta are just walking out the shops at the moment. The cold weather has sent us running for pasta and nice grain bread or crusty white bread. Summer salads went on a bit too long so the colder weather had made us want to eat well but those things with a lot of flavour...and winter salads are really great with fish or bits of cheese!
