"RAIN, glorious rain - nearly 32mm of it in Adelaide alone. No wonder people across the state are celebrating."
Two whole days of it! It started off quite warm and sunny this morning so we thought we'd seen all the rain there would be...then the clouds built up, the wind got colder and it rained...and rained..and rained. We had forgotten how slippery it can get and how squeaky our shoes are on the floors in shopping malls. We were laughing. No one cared about how wet it was. It was just bloomin' brilliant to see the rain and everything is wet! We have had to dive for jumpers and warm woolly jackets and hats. Some of us managed to find umbrellas. No one complained a bit. it was just great. We've been making soup and pasta. We have been stocking up on potatoes and sweet potatoes. We've been sharing good book titles and interesting DVDs. We are ready to roll...It has been utterly depressing to see the state dry up and gardens fall apart. We usually have pretty nice gardens but some people have lost interest and you can't blame them.
