Rat brained Robot

A 'Frankenrobot' with a biological brain : "Once removed from rat foetuses and disentangled from each other with an enzyme bath, the specialised nerve cells are laid out in a nutrient-rich medium across an eight-by-eight centimetre array of 60 electrodes."

OMG...as long as they know what they are doing. This robot runs on rat brains with no extra help from anywhere and the plan is, I think, to work out how it works and then transfer that knowledge into practical use to help us deal with diseases like Alzheimers. That would be a bonus but the thought we have a robot which can run on rat brains is both astounding and weird. They want to teach this robot. now will it behave like a rat? Will it be capable of other things besides rat thinking? Curiouser and curiouser!
