Bye Bye Beijing

Bye bye Beijing and for those who look for a defining moment...I think they have missed the point. Beijing was about all the athletes and what they bring to us and the world. It was about hundreds of athletes who had assembled to bring us their best...so there were lots of moments which were awesome, brilliant and just unbelievably inspiring thanks to all the excellent athletes who had come to Beijing to give it their all. There was some real inspiration to be drawn from these games. They were well organised, huggie feelie, friendly, warm. People were open in their compassion and praise. They were quick to congratulate or commiserate. They were very human and lovely . The visuals were stunning. The birdsnest and water cube were unique. Thank you. I have loved these Olympics.
