Aussie girls take shock relay gold

Aussie girls take shock relay gold : "The team of Stephanie Rice, Bronte Barratt, Kylie Palmer and Linda McKenzie blew away the previous record by 5.78 seconds in a time of 7.44.31."

These games are full of excitement and surprises and because the athletes are all right up there then, I guess, it's not a surprise we are up there too. This swimming team has pulled some fantastic stuff out of their well trained hat! The girls just get in there and confidently give it their best...so Nicole Cooke from England came out and won the cycling road race and our girls have won the swimming relay. It's good that the athletes can just get in there and compete and it's not just taken for granted who will win. It means we get to see some fantastic races to the finish and the whole thing is more spontaneous because people are more evenly matched. There will always be people in their own major league...but the rest of the field just has to get in there and compete. It's great we won the relay.
