Fans can Channel Seven's Olympic Beijing Games coverage

Fans can Channel Seven's Olympic Beijing Games coverage: "Despite the complaints the ratings are soaring."

It's the Olympics, that's why and the spirit of Australia is with the athletes. We have normally had first class coverage of the games but this year is hasn't been well thought out. We are used to expert commentary, good quality humour and a bit of consideration as to which events are on and what might be important viewing . We know there have to be ads...but it really hasn't been our usual good standard and we do have some quality commentators and excellent people who are capable of providing what we have become used to...an unusual and funny look at the games. I switch between 7 and SBS but we just don't have that class act we normally have for the Olympics but it is 2008 and much of what is happening this year around the place is about just doing it without thinking about the nuts and bolts. We need to look at our systems and our delivery because the action plans are just not coming up with the goods and one person is not as good as another in a given job.
