49er result left blowing in the wind : "The Australian 49er team of Nathan Outteridge and Ben Austin ended in fifth place overall after capsizing twice near the finish line."
We watched this and it was amazing. The sailors did not give up and you could see the seas were menacing and everyone was toppling over...and getting their boats up again. The fortitude and courage were astounding. The commentators get the gold medal in commentating , though. They were so spontaneous, so natural and it was hilarious because they were feeling so honestly for the competitors and their reactions were totally normal but not as straight laced as commentators are supposed to be. In all fairness I think the competition needs to be rerun..they didn't get a chance to sail...but the commentators certainly took off and showed us how to commentate the most remarkable set of circumstances in what for me is an Olympic classic.
