Trees fall as temperatures rise

Trees fall as temperatures rise: "'A large branch came down outside the ABC broadcast at WOMADelaide on Saturday,' she said. 'It is quite dangerous and on that occasion it was just lucky no one was standing there.'"

Gum trees belong in the bush. They are growing in our suburbs and in our cities but the cities are too populated and the suburbs are too cramped. Gum trees need to be really looked after if they are to be in the cities. They shouldn't be in suburban gardens but most councils gave them to home owners and now they are stuck with these massive , magnificent trees which just don't suit the suburbs. The cost of having them maintained or looked after is prohibitive and there is no plan to manage them. Not watering will only create more stress for all of us. Who cares...we still have no water . People are living here and there is no provision for an adequate water supply for us to live...but we still put more people here. It is really rather negligent since homeowners are virtually powerless and they need a plan.
