Confusion over strange lights

Confusion over strange lights : "Astronomers said the debris was unlikely to survive re-entering the earth’s atmosphere. It brought back memories of the Skylab incident in 1979 when space junk crashed into the State."

WA has strange lights in the sky. They seem to think it is not the space junk form the exploded satellite but no one seems to know what it is. Can't we Google it or something? If we can see to blow up a satellite, surely we can see to identify the glowing bits?!
