Teacher shortage a tough lesson for Rudd and Labour : "As well as shortages in maths, science, foreign languages and information technology, data also suggested critical teacher shortages in English, the performing arts and special needs."
In other words, we don't have qualified teachers. They need to be educated and we need a system which values education. No education...no capacity to look after ourselves.
