Queen's death will reignite republic debate: "'But my own judgement is that the next time when you would have your best prospects would be at the end of the Queen's reign - so when she dies, or abdicates.'"
We are not ready to be a republic if that is predicated on the death or abdication of the monarch. We have to be confident in our belief we are strong enough to run ourselves . We need to have some serious political debate and be prepared to really sort things out in an adult fashion.
